Social Media can be a very confusing place to showcase your business and the products/services it offers. SOS Media has created some Facebook business page Do Not’s that will hopefully point you and your page in the right direction!

Firstly you should never delete any negative reviews on your Facebook business page. If you seem to be too perfect, your viewers may think you are too good to be true. The best way to deal with negative reviews is to respond to them directly and correct the situation. This will show your audience that you are there to better their experience and that you are dedicated to righting any wrongs. It truly is an opportunity in disguise for your business!

When posting on Facebook do not connect your post to other accounts such as Twitter and LinkedIn! Each social media platform serves a different purpose to it’s viewership and therefore you don’t want to send out the wrong message. It also may confuse your audience; posting the same content across different mediums may lose its value to the consumer if they have already seen it on a different platform.

Lastly do not start a social media account unless your intent is to use it, and use it frequently. Being active on social media is key to its success. Think of it like this; you wouldn’t hire someone to promote your business and communicate with your customers while expecting them to grow your business cliental on an unreliable and random schedule would you? That is why social media accounts activation must be thought of as a real investment in both time and effort.
